A hero’s farewell for Stormer the special dog of war
A Staffordshire bull terrier which served as a regimental ¬mascot for 10 years has been ¬buried with military honours.

At a special ceremony, soldiers paid tribute to Stormer who was given the rank Colour Sergeant Watchman IV by the Staffordshire Regiment.
Soldiers carried the coffin, covered by a Union Flag, from Burton town hall to his final resting place, alongside his predecessors, on Wednesday.
His handler, Colour Sergeant Malcolm Bower, died in 2009. His widow Coral looked after Watchman IV in his retirement until he died aged 15 on December 5.
